I really enjoyed creating this image and truly wanted to capture a dynamic moment. I like to use detailing to create a focal point in the composition that attracts the eye, then elements that support that image with less refinement.

YEllow Headed Black Bird
I drew this yellow headed black bird for my wife. This was the first bird I’ve drawn and really enjoyed figuing out how to create the feathers. I’m very happy with the way it turned out, and hope to try another.
